Test station aluminum head is an above-ground insulated test terminal (above-ground test station/test point) for buried pipeline/tank cathodic protection systems. The main body is cast aluminum, with an epoxy board used as the terminal block, embedding stainless steel/nickel-plated brass binding posts, equipped with a removable cover cap, and installed on test posts, marker posts, or Condulet interfaces. In principle, the epoxy board cuts off the metallic path and provides creepage isolation, so that each conductor — the protected structure, anode output, reference electrode, etc. — exits independently through its own terminal without short circuit or leakage. During measurement, using a reference electrode such as CSE as the potential reference, parameters including protection potential, potential difference, bond current, and insulation resistance are read via the terminal taps to determine whether cathodic protection is effective, whether insulating joints have failed, and the risk of stray current interference.
