Skid-Mounted Aluminum Anode (also referred to as an aluminum anode sled, anode skid, or seabed anode module) is a prefabricated unit consisting of multiple Al–Zn–In series aluminum alloy sacrificial anodes fixed to a steel frame, concrete base, or ballast foundation. Designed for integral lifting and seabed placement, it establishes reliable electrical connectivity with the protected structure (such as platform legs, jacket structures, subsea pipelines, and wharf pile groups) via cables combined with clamps/junction boxes or dedicated cable assemblies. Together, they form a Sacrificial Anode Cathodic Protection (SACP) system, operating without the need for any external power source.
