Ribbon zinc alloy anodes are a type of sacrificial anode cathodic protection material primarily composed of metallic zinc. The diamond-shaped zinc ribbon anode complies with the ASTM-B418 (Type I/Type II) standard, offering excellent mechanical properties.
Ribbon zinc alloy anodes are a type of sacrificial anode cathodic protection material primarily composed of metallic zinc. The diamond-shaped zinc ribbon anode complies with the ASTM-B418 (Type I/Type II) standard, offering excellent mechanical properties. As an electrochemical material based on metal corrosion principles, the ribbon zinc anode leverages the self-corrosion behavior of zinc in electrolyte solutions to provide cathodic protection for metal structures. In electrolytes, the zinc anode undergoes oxidation, releasing electrons. These electrons travel via conductive wires to the protected metal structure, which becomes the cathode, thereby preventing its corrosion.
